Overview
The GlobalTown’s EZ-NeWMyo™ are high-performance micro vessel myograph systems for
pharmacology and pathology studies
of micro or small tubular biological tissues that affect vast physiological functions such as hypertension, diabetes,
respiratory, GI, urinary or colonic diseases, etc. They are based on the GlobalTown’s proven, proprietary methodologies,
EZ-Needle Myograph and
EZ-Wire Myograph. Micro tubular tissues as small as 60 microns, such as mouse heart coronary and
messenteric rings, have been efficiently investigated, with sensitivity up to 0.2-0.5mg, using buffer as little
as 0.5ml, which is unprecedented in the field and translates into drastic reduction (3-20x less)
in vascular reagents and drugs needed for experiments, compared to Traditional Wire Myograph (TWM).
The EZ-NeWMyo systems also feature proprietary micro vessel threading methodology, sensitive
and robust isometric transducers (i.e., the –SW series with both high sensitivity and wide dynamic range),
combined bio-sensing, fluorescence probing and myograph, versatility for different sized vessels,
consistency in vessel tension and positions across channels and experiments, and efficient system
setting up, operating, data collection and analyses, etc. They have outperformed TWM systems
in almost all areas of vessel myograph (details available for potential customers only, please
email us at info@globaltowns.com), but they are much more affordable than the TWM systems in the market.
New features include (1). embedded bio-sensors (NO, glucose and epinephrine) and fluorescence probe, for bio-sensing and fluorescence detection in micro vessel myograph; (2). automated (optional) or manual (one-push valve) buffer filling, emptying or washing.

Accessories
1. Micro Tension/Force Transducers (included)
The i-FOT 10SW and i-FOT 50SW are specifically designed
to have both high sensitivity (0.5mg) and wide dynamic range (0-100g),
and well suited for the EZ-NeWMyo system. They are compatible with
our BRAM-4B, i-BRIDGE transducers amplifiers,
or BRAMDA-400/800 and i-DAQ 4/8 data acquisition systems.
They can also be easily adapted to ADI and other suppliers’
systems. Other transducers in i-FOT Series with
different range and sensitivity are also available.
2. Bio-sensing of Nitric Oxide and Fluorescence Detection of Calcium and Membrane Potential (optional):
The EZ-NeWMyo systems provide capabilities for both bio-sensing
and fluorescence measurement for blood vessel tissues.
Our miniature biosensors and fluorescence probe are used
seamlessly for simultaneously measuring nitric oxide (NO),
epinephrine, norepinephrine, calcium and/or membrane potential
of vessel rings under tension or drug perfusion. This allows studies
of interactions between vascular muscle tone and biochemical release
or perfusion, e.g. vascular endothelium NO and calcium-mediated vessel
relaxation; or epinephrine- or adenosine-activated vascular regulation.
The bio-sensors and fluorescence probe are embedded as part of the micro vessel holding assembly, providing consistency and convenience in the experimental protocols without the need for external positioner. They are installed on sensor- and fluorescence-enabled Micro Vessel Measure & Control Assembly Bracket MV-MC25SF that also allows additional positioning of the bio-sensor or fluorescence probe. To include bio-sensor in your system order, please add “–SF” at the end of the system part number, and then specify what model of biosensor and probe are needed.
